Crediton Bowling Club

The Club is a proactive supporter of activities in the wider community in a number of ways.

Every year, at the beginning of August, and in conjunction with The Rotary Club, an event called the Industrial is held. This event is a bowls competition between the commercial firms in Crediton and there is keen interest to compete.
It takes place every evening over a two week period with the finals being held on the last Saturday. Only one member per team is permitted to be a "bowler".
Last year a total of 64 teams entered the competition.

In addition, last year, pupils from local schools were invited to try the sport during their activities sessions. Guidance, support and coaching was provided, and we are planning to add this to our annual schedule of activities.

Also as noted in our Take up Bowling page a number of taster sessions, open to the public, are being arranged to encourage more people to take up the sport.

The club is also used over the winter by many visiting skittles teams, coming from both within the town and further afield.
